Main Ingredients

  • 2 ½ to 3 pounds boneless country style pork ribs

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Dry Rub Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For Braising Sauce (Optional But Recommended)

  • ¾ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

Step 1: Season the Ribs

  • Pat ribs dry with paper towels.

  • Rub olive oil all over the meat.

  • Combine all dry rub ingredients in a bowl.

  • Coat ribs generously with the rub. Let sit for 15–20 minutes at room temp.

Step 2: Preheat and Prepare

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

  • Place ribs in a baking dish or roasting pan.

  • Pour in braising sauce mixture if using, or add a splash of broth or apple juice for moisture.

  • Cover tightly with foil.

Step 3: Bake Low and Slow

  • Bake covered for 2 to 2 ½ hours, until very tender.

  • Remove foil, baste with more BBQ sauce, and return to oven uncovered for 15–20 minutes at 425°F to caramelize.

Step 4: Rest and Serve

 

  • Let ribs rest 10 minutes before slicing or shredding.

  • Serve with extra sauce on the side.
