  • 1 sheet of puff pastry or pizza dough
  • ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce

Cheese & Toppings

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1215 slices of pepperoni or salami
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

For Baking & Garnishing

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Instructions

How to Make Rose Pizza Rolls

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. If using puff pastry, remove it from the fridge 15 minutes before rolling.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide).

Step 2: Spread the Sauce & Cheese

  1. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  2. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan over the sauce.

Step 3: Arrange the Pepperoni

  1. Lay the pepperoni slices in a row along one long edge of the dough, slightly overlapping them so half of each slice sticks out past the edge.

Step 4: Fold & Cut the Strips

  1. Fold the bottom half of the dough over the pepperoni slices so they are half-covered.
  2. Cut the dough into 1.5-inch-wide strips.

Step 5: Roll into Roses

  1. Take one strip and gently roll it up into a spiral to create a rose shape.
  2. Place each rolled pizza rose into a greased muffin tin.

Step 6: Egg Wash & Bake

  1. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden, crispy crust.
  2. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

Step 7: Garnish & Serve

  1. Let the pizza roses cool for 5 minutes before removing them from the muffin tin.
  2. Garnish with fresh basil and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
